Solarco has now completed over 14 renewable energy projects at many nursing homes in Ireland, helping reduce costs and decarbonise important healthcare services.
The Renewable Energy Projects at Central Parks Nursing Home
Woodco Renewable Energy worked with Central Parks Nursing Home to help them switch from fossil fuel heating with a biomass boiler installation & electricity with solar PV panels. This project was delivered in two phases; the first being a biomass boiler installation. The SEAI provide a guaranteed grant of €21,940 per annum for 15 years.
The second phase of this project was to install solar PV panels on the nursing homes rooftop reducing their reliance on expensive electricity from the grid. 164 solar panels were erected on multiple rooftop. This saves Central Parks Nursing home approximately €21,000 per annum.
